About Pokeya
Pokeya began as a family project between two cousins — Sally and Weijue — united by creativity and a shared love of bringing tiny, joyful characters to life through wool.
Weijue has been felting since she could barely hold a felting needle. Today, she is an artist renowned for her needle-felted installations, which have have graced galleries and hotels around the world.
Sally started her career as a video game artist before leading product teams in tech. After losing her beloved corgi, Digby, she searched for a creative outlet and found it when Weijue introduced her to needle felting. She found that stabbing wool with needles was a great outlet for everyday stress — but it was hard to get started: poor instructions and low-quality materials made it a frustrating hobby to start.
So the cousins teamed up to change that.
Pokeya was born — a cozy family business making needle felting simple, inspiring, and fun. Each DIY kit includes everything you need to create adorable characters: the right type of fine wool, the right tools, and easy step-by-step tutorials.
Today, we assemble and ship every kit from sunny Southern California, packing each one with love (and maybe a little corgi magic). Whether you’re picking up a needle for the first time or adding to your handmade collection, we hope Pokeya brings a touch of whimsy, creativity, and calm to your day.
